if i had $1.5 billion to spend...
...at least to spend on something public, I'd spend it on public education, particularly K-12 education, not on a program to promote marriage. Not that we're against marriage here at talbotlucas.org, but it strikes me that marriage isn't a new concept that needs promotion.
How about improving public education so young people can have some foundation, some possibility of becoming informed voters?
