web radio

I'm finding more and more to appreciate among web radio offerings. For a while now we've listened to a few of our favorite public radio stations via the web, and I've been enjoying the mix of offerings on WQXR, the radio station of The New York Times.

Depending on my listening mood (or how carefully I need to read what's in front of me), I also tune in to one of the BBC Radio stations or, if I'm feeling linguistically ambitious, RFI (Radio France Internationale). And even though we're committed Bruins (at least financially through 2005), we also tune in occasionally to KSCR, a student-run radio station out of USC. Why risk involvement with the cross-town rival? Because one of our dog-owning, book-and-music-loving neighbors is a DJ with joie de vivre and his show is on KSCR, until we figure out how to get our own web radio up and running.
