Arma virumque cano...
Salve! It seems Latin is making a comeback. Some of us have steadfastly disagreed with the assertion that Latin is a "dead language," but we've gotten used to being in the minority, and getting the quizzical looks to boot. "You mean, [insert puzzled look and half-squint] you enjoyed Latin?" How else to respond but with a Jeremy-Brett-as-Sherlock-Holmes flashing grin? Yes, I enjoyed Latin. Still do. I wish more bilingual editions of classic texts (with good translations, mind you) were available.
Before I turn my attention to Ovid and Livy I really should finish reviewing my notes for this afternoon's class...
