einstein's cosmological constant
This is the kind of scientific announcement that never fails to get my attention. How can you not love a scientific discussion that involves "dark, unseen energy" and contemplates "the big rip" and "the big crunch." (Frankly, though, I find the use of "big" a little odd. I mean, if it's something that has the power to create/destroy planets or galaxies, that's pretty damn big.)
